MMW Media Team
Our team has been supported by the Marching Maroon & White for several years. We support the AAMU Marching Maroon & White with capturing moments and documenting all events on our social media platforms.

Requirements
-
Must be enrolled as a student at Alabama A&M University.

Must have experience,
-
Willing to learn in a fast-paced environment, new media concepts and procedures.
-
Does not have to be a members of the Marching Maroon & White.
-
Must attend camp and daily rehearsals and performances, as required. This includes out-of-town performances and events.
-
Must be able to follow directions, take critique given regarding content and deliverables, and be willing to improve based on directives and critique.
-
Must have good communication skills.
Other Experiences
-
Experience with media equipment (cameras, microphones, gimbals, etc.)
-
Experience with editing software (Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, CapCut)
-
Experience with photo editing/graphics software (Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva, etc.)
-
Creative ideas and not afraid to take chances with developing creative content
-
Have an understanding of marching band performances.
Media Team / Equipment Staff
Our MMW Media Team Staff (MMW MTS) is the backbone of the MMW Band Program. The MMW MTS is responsible for the following:
-
Ensuring the necessary equipment for rehearsals is in place prior to rehearsal time and picked up after rehearsals
-
Supporting the band and directorial staff during athletic events and other performances
-
Providing basic first aid support to band members during rehearsals and performances
-
Supporting the Dancin' Divas and Fabulous Flags with equipment during performances
-
Assisting with any equipment needs or props DURING and AFTER halftime shows.

MMW MTS members will be expected to lift and/or move equipment which will sometimes be heavy.
Requirements

Must be enrolled as a student at Alabama A&M University.

Must have experience AND MUST BE WILLING TO LEARN in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to follow directions, take direction from peer leaders, and be willing to improve based on directives and critique.

Must be patient.

Must have good communication skills.

Nice To Have
-
Experience working background logistics and equipment support.
-
Experience with or knowledge of marching bands or with theater stage hand work.
-
First Aid certification.
​
Members of both teams will be required to complete a student physical at the beginning of Marching Maroon & White. Both positions are unpaid, however, members are able to report time worked for community service hours.
