Chrishana “Shana” Granger has been the Director of Dance for the Dancin’ Divas of Alabama A&M University since 2010, bringing over 15 years of coaching and choreography experience to the collegiate level. A proud alumna of Alabama A&M and former 3 year Dancin’ Diva captain, she played a pivotal role in shaping the identity of the team — including establishing the permanent name, “Dancin’ Divas,” during her tenure as a student leader.

Under her leadership, the Dancin’ Divas have earned national recognition, including first-place honors with the Tampax Radiant Dance Off Contest, nationally televised Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade performance with grammy award winning Jon Batiste,  selection as a top Nike Yard Runners Dance Team, and sponsorships from Ulta Beauty and the legendary Rockettes organization. Chrishana was also honored as a 2024 Coach of the Year nominee for her outstanding impact and innovation in the HBCU dance community.

In addition to her role with the Dancin’ Divas, she serves as an executive board member for the HBCU Auxiliary Directors Conference, where she works to elevate and advocate for HBCU auxiliary programs nationwide. Chrishana also holds a master’s degree from Columbia College and currently works with the Department of Defense as a Chief of Procurement Systems Innovation and Metrics.

A passionate artist, mentor, and community leader, Chrishana continues to make a lasting impact through the arts, education, and service. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and balances her professional and creative pursuits with her most cherished role — that of wife and mother to two children.
